The Infront Innovation Customer Story
In 2004 Infront Innovation contacted us directly as they were facing an increasingly slow, unreliable and fundamentally disjointed IT infrastructure.
A rapidly growing business, with offices around the UK and many home based workers; they were starting to feel the strain and encountered some fundamental issues sharing applications and data reliably.
After in-depth discussions with Infront Innovation and a careful review of their existing system, Somerbys IT were commissioned to plan, develop, deploy and maintain a solution that could resolve their IT problems.
Utilising cutting edge technologies the new proposal involved centralising the IT infrastructure at a data centre in London, choosing to house all mission critical services like email, data and applications, making them readily available to all members of staff throughout their organisation. Key technologies employed within the solution included; virtual private networks (VPN), remote desktop terminal services and web based software as a service (SAAS) applications. More recently the IT infrastructure has been expanded to utilise and benefit from virtualisation technology.
Somerbys IT provide Infront Innovation with an end to end fully managed IT package, not only looking after all aspects of the system, but also acting as ‘technology consultants’, advising them on upcoming IT developments that may be of benefit now and for the years ahead.
